SA Migration
International was created out of the need for a
specialist organization to assist people wishing to immigrate,
volunteer, work, bring family, study or open businesses in South
Africa.
Government’s potential decision to curb expatriate employment terms
threatens the already persisting skills shortage in SA.
Some foreigners suspect the apparent move to curb expatriate
employment terms reflects a growing climate of economic nationalism
unfavourable to the hiring of non-South Africans.
(MENAFN - The Conversation) Is South Africa regularly denying
children their right to access education as well as health care on
the grounds either of petty bureaucracy or by a misinterpretation of
the country`s laws and international obligations?
The answer is yes.
We wish to draw your attention to the fact that the White Paper on
Home Affairs was published by the Minister of Home Affairs Siyabonga
Cwele requiring comment in writing by the 18th February 2019.
David Hlabane of Home Affairs says: “For children born in South
Africa and have never travelled out of South Africa, the
[Zimbabwean] parent should visit a VFS office in the country to
apply for a temporary residence visa … Our policy does not allow
them to change status from visitors to any visa while still in
South Africa. This also applies to the SA-born child who left SA
and re-entered SA on a visitor’s visa.”
Cape Town’s tourism sector starts to make a slow recovery, as
indicated by December 2018’s figures.
Figures released by Cape Town’s big attractions, Cape Town
International Airport and STR’s Destination Report, indicate mixed
performance for December 2018. The second half of the year has
shown that the city’s recovery in terms of tourism is stabilising,
notwithstanding a poor performance in the early part of 2018.
Cape Town Tourism has identified numerous factors that influenced
travel choices in 2018, including a third-quarter recession and
the drought as primary factors. SA
