Satsa `ready to help` visa regulation task team

JOHANNESBURG – The Southern African Tourism Services Association
(Satsa) said its standing ready to help Deputy President Cyril
Ramaphosa`s inter-ministerial task team that's now going to
investigate the impact of the new visa regulations.
An inter-ministerial task team will look at and review newly
implemented visa regulations by Home Affairs.
On Tuesday, President Jacob Zuma announced the team will look at what
government said is the unintended consequences of the rules that
require children traveling here to have their unabridged birth
certificates.

Zuma said this is going to be a wide-ranging committee.

Association head David Frost said they're ready to help in any way
possible.

Two weeks ago Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom said the new
regulations were severely damaging the tourism industry.
