Home Affairs fails to clear my name

Source: News24, 25/08/2015

I am a female aged 32. and in 2013 I gave birth to a baby girl. after
some days I went in to home affairs to make her birth certificate to
find out my name reflected as an illegal immigrant.

this came as a shock to me cause I have been using the same id for as
long as I have had it and none of this came up, up to this day. we
then proceeded to following the necessary steps to try and fix this. I
was sent back to all the schools I attended to get the proof and I did
that. both me and my mum were interviewed by several people on
different occasions to try and find out if we will give the same
answers.

all this was done successfully and a report was compiled by the
immigrant officer in Boksburg. and he said he would forward the file
to the Pretoria office.

It is now two years going to three years and still I sit with the
status "illegal Immigrant" and my daughter who was suppose to start
crèche still sits at home without a birth certificate. this thing
breaks and hurts me that it would be taken so lightly by our
system.

I sit with my life on hold while I have produced
all necessary documents that support me being the legitimate person in
question. they even told me should I die today, nothing will be done
for me for as long as I sit with that status. I have emailed the
minister himself asking for help, have copied in all the relevant
people but all I get is a "we will deal with the matter accordingly."
I am tired of hearing this, I need my name cleared, I actually demand
and want my daughter's life to begin.
