Sofia. Number of illegal migrants crossing the Bulgarian-Turkish
border has decreased twice since Bulgaria built a fence along its
southern border, Hungarian Magyar Nemzet newspaper writes.
"In 2013 around 11,000 migrants illegally crossed the border between
the two countries, while in 2014 the number decreased to around 6,000
thanks to the 33 km long and 3 m high barbed wire fence," the
Bulgarian border police announced.
Recently the Bulgarian government decided to extend the fence, as
since the start of the year at least 17,000 unregistered migrants have
crossed country`s borders.
