The Department of Home Affairs says it will act swiftly to re-open the
PE Refugee Reception Office. The department has until early February
next year to give effect to a Supreme Court of Appeal judgment.

The clock started ticking after the Constitutional Court
refused to hear the Department's appeal.

The closure of
inland RRO's meant that many refugees and assylum seekers, who were
unable to travel back to the border, could not access necessary
