A Guide to Immigration Regulation changes

While concessions to South Africa`s immigration regulations were
approved by Cabinet, immigration officials at South Africa`s airports
have yet to begin implementing the changes. The Department of Home
Affairs has, however, begun to pilot the capturing of biometric data
at the country`s international airports, although biometrics are not
being taken at this stage (see story here).

South African Tourism has released an infographic summarising the
amendments made to the regulations, so that you can prepare your
clients.

The rigid application of this rule, devoid of consideration for mitigating circumstances, raises serious concerns about the fairness and legality of such administrative decisions.
