SA Tourism launches marketing campaign on Instagram

SA Tourism Germany has launched a five-month interactive social media
campaign in a joint marketing agreement with Thomas Cook Germany, a
tour operator for South Africa.


The campaign saw 26 German agents travelling to SA from December 1-8
to participate in an interactive photo walk in Cape Town.


Leading German Instagramer, Sebastian Spasics and Thomas Cook Social
Media Manager, Martin Widenka joined the group to share tips on social
media.


Claudia Schulze, Product Manager: South Africa at Thomas Cook, and
Stefan Eberle, Trade Manager of SA Tourism Germany, accompanied the
photo safari and shared insights about the country as a travel
destination.


The campaign aims to inspire travel agents to sell SA and to engage in
marketing trends using social media channels. A larger campaign will
follow in January and will have sales offers for booking an SA holiday.
