JOHANNESBURG - The South African Revenue Service (Sars) says it
processed about 19,000 travellers` documents on Boxing Day at
different border posts across the country.

After a week of heavy congestion at major border posts, Sars says the
next week is expected to be quieter.

The Department of Home Affairs and Sars have collaborated to speed up
processes at border posts where more 130,000 travellers` documents
have been processed since the start of the holiday season.

Sars spokesperson Sandile Memela says no major incidents were
reported.

"The R76 million bust that happened at Lebombo on Christmas Day
morning and two Mozambicans who were trying to smuggle the money into
the country have since been handed to the police."
