New SA visa centres planned for India

South African Tourism has announced plans to open four new visa
application centres in India to cater for increasing visa
applications, according to a report by the Financial Express.
The report says the new centres are expected to open by the end of
2016. The locations of the centres are yet to be revealed.
"One of the biggest challenges in front of us is visa processing,"
Derek Hanekom, Minister of Tourism is quoted as saying, adding that
the department was giving dedicated attention to this.
Elaborating on this, Margie Whitehouse, Chief Marketing officer, South
African Tourism, said: "Visa processing has been a barrier for us.
There has been a strong recovery in visa applications from India in
the last three months. We are working toward removing the barriers in
front of us. The future contains great potential in India."
