Can an interpreter help me when I have my photograph and fingerprints
taken?

Yes. In South Africa VFS, the officer taking your photograph and
fingerprints ( biometrics) will talk to you using an interpreter.
Outside South Africa , you would not usually need an interpreter
because the staff member taking your biometrics will speak the local
language.
