Phindile Makwakwa, TKZN acting CEO, says while places of worship are
busy during religious holidays, they are also worthwhile venues for
tourists to explore year round.
“You can visit the many mission stations dotted about the province,
most being off-shoots from the Trappist Mariannhill Monastery outside
Durban. The Centocow Mission in Underberg, the Durban Holocaust &
Genocide Centre at the Durban Jewish Club and adjacent Garden of
Remembrance are good choices to add to an itinerary.”
