SA Migration
International was created out of the need for a
specialist organization to assist people wishing to immigrate,
volunteer, work, bring family, study or open businesses in South
Africa.
The Department of Home Affairs issued its 10 millionth smart ID card
on Wednesday, but an increase in foot traffic of up to 150% may hinder
government`s ability to reach the full 2023 migration target.
Statistics SA has released its arrival numbers for April 2018. The
figures show an overall decline in arrivals between April last year
and April 2018, with the country seeing 6% fewer arrivals.
The home affairs ministry of Namibia has no plans to extend issuing
of death certificates programmes at local hospitals as it plans to
install an e-death notification system set to be tested in Windhoek
next month.
`Give us papers. Refugees are not criminals,` chanted a group of
approximately 60 refugee representatives marching to Parliament in
Cape Town on Wednesday asking to be made legal.

As with any change there comes with it a lot of miscommunication and an
increase in the number of failed applications. It appears that there
has been a sharp increase in the number of visa and permit application
being rejected and many prospective immigrants are left to wonder how
on earth they can navigate this now even more complex immigration
system.
Overstaying one’s visa is a common occurrence among people who applied
to extend their visa in South Africa and said visa not issued in time
for travel.
The road show is intended to give the government and implementers of
the SEZ programme an opportunity to present value propositions to
potential investors. SA
